Moving with Soul: Embracing Transitions the Holistic Way
As I journey through my holiday season of frequent physical moves with my family and our little sosig, I’ve been meditating on these transitions from a holistic perspective and how they are not just logistical, but they’re soulful too. This inspired me to reflect on the holistic nature of change and how we can move with greater awareness and grace. Who knows me knows that my best intention is to walk the talk here is my personal experience with change. Whether you’re moving house, changing jobs, watching your children grow through seasons, or simply shifting into a new phase of self, transitions stretch us. Not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, energetically. They stir the soul.
Change, even the joyful kind, can bring a deep sense of disorientation. It’s not just the body that moves. The soul stirs, too.
And in the space of Bee’s Holistics, we honour that.
🌿 The holistic nature of change
Transitions are layered. You feel that on your skin too, as you may feel exhausted even when you've "only" packed boxes or filled out forms. That’s because you're not just dealing with stuff, but you’re navigating your inner landscapes, dealing with and releasing old versions of yourself, and stepping into new energetic spaces. Body, mind and spirit walks together, so when you move through a change, we can take a moment and ask:
How does my body feel?
What emotions are surfacing?
What stories are being re-written in my heart?
What soul whispers are guiding me forward?
Ask yourself with love and openness, like you are being asked when you come to your massage sessions with me.
🐝 You’re not just relocating, you’re recalibrating
Every transition is a powerful invitation. i like to look at it as a little portal every time. A chance to reconnect with our core, even when the world around us feels uncertain, shifting and life feels unsettled.
It can be painful, but it’s in the mess and the muddle that we remember who we are and when we can really put our skills to the test. When everything is smooth and in balance, sailing is easy, right? When we face challenges, that’s when we truly anchor into our practices, our values, and our inner strength. That’s when the soul steps forward, not just to survive the storm, but to grow through it.
🌸 Practical soul-led tips for navigating transitions
These gentle tools are here for you and might anchor you too:
1. Create a ritual of release
I love registering and honouring what I am leaving before stepping into the new. This can be as simple as noticing it and maybe even saying your gratitude for what it gave, how it served and then let it go with a blessing.
Let yourself feel it. Cry, laugh, yawn, stretch. Movement helps your nervous system integrate what your heart already knows.
2. Massage for integration
Your body holds your story. Try a grounding self-massage, maybe with a JemmaCo balm of your choice if you have purchased your own jar with slow, circular motions on your chest, belly, arms, and feet. Whisper to yourself:
“I am safe to shift. I move with grace.”
3. Root with the breath
Place one hand on your heart, one on your belly. Breathe in deeply for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 6. Imagine your breath flowing like golden honey through your body, gently reminding every cell in your amazing physical vessel: We’re doing this together.
4. Name the becoming
If you like journalling, complete this sentence:
“I am becoming the version of me who…”
Let your soul speak, even if it trembles. Write without editing, allow it all pour out. No filter, no judgement. Your words are little threads of truth, weaving a new tapestry. It’s your own unique art of life
5. Enlist Earth magic
In nature, transitions are constant: the moon wanes, the trees shed, the tides ebb. Spend time with the Earth. Lie on the grass. Watch the sky shift. Let her rhythms remind you: Change is life, and life is sacred. This is why I follow and openly talk about how I follow the moon phases and why it helps me immensely to accept these inevitable changes rather than resist them.
💛 A note from my heart to yours
As someone who has walked through many transitions, both outer and inner, I would like you to remember. You’re not doing it wrong if it feels tender. You’re not behind if you need to pause. You’re not weak if you need to cry in the car or light a candle at bedtime.
You are life in motion, and your soul knows the way.
Here at Bee’s Holistics, you are in a safe cave, a space to exhale, to rest, to remember that you are held, and that everything you're feeling is valid.
Let your transitions be soulful. Let them be messy. Let them be real.
And it feel important to hightlight this now and invite you to remember that the light is not just at the end of the tunnel. It’s within you, buzzing like a bee’s gentle hum, waiting to guide you home.
Always with love
Bee 💛
