Another orbit around the Sun: 42
Turning 42 feels like another sacred orbit around the Sun, not louder, but deeper. This year, my guiding codes are simple: meditation, prayer, celebration. Stillness and joy. Presence and praise. I feel profoundly aware of the privilege to be here, to breathe, to move, to love, to experience this human life in a physical body. Not everyone gets this many mornings, and that makes each one feel like a quiet responsibility, not pressure, but grace. Life has stretched me, humbled me, and shaped me, yet every challenge has become a training ground for compassion and resilience. I’m learning to live awake, to tap into the Force that flows through us as gentle guidance, and to celebrate even the smallest moments. Ageing, to me, is not loss, it’s a gift, a deepening, a return to the heart.
World Interfaith Harmony Week ˗ˏˋ ♡ ˎˊ˗Jedi Edition, as walking the Way of the Heart in a divided world
World Interfaith Harmony Week is an invitation to remember a way of living, not just a set of beliefs. In this “Jedi edition” reflection, I explore compassion for the world (lokānukampā), heart-led presence, and what it really means to live in alignment with love across faiths, stories, and traditions. From HeartMath and nervous-system wisdom to holistic care and everyday kindness, this is a piece about choosing, again and again, to live from the heart. It also shares why my birthday month is dedicated to supporting PAPYRUS, a charity saving young lives, and why compassion in action matters more than any words we claim.
If you’ve failed at resolutions before, read this (nothing’s wrong with you)
If New Year’s resolutions start with hope… and then leave you feeling disappointed later, I want you to hear this: Nothing is wrong with you.
You’re not lazy. You’re not “bad at sticking to things”. You’re not broken. Most resolutions don’t last because they’re built on an unrealistic idea, that you can force big change through willpower alone, even when you’re tired, stressed, emotional, and already carrying a lot. From a holistic perspective, it makes total sense that a strict, all or nothing plan doesn’t hold. Real life isn’t all or nothing, and neither are you.
So this year, let’s do it differently.
Instead of chasing a perfect outcome, start with a North Star⭐ the deeper feeling you’re truly longing for. Is it calmer mornings? Steadier energy? Stronger boundaries? More play? More prayer and presence? Feeling at home in your body? Less rushing? Gentle confidence?
Whatever it is, be honest… and then make it workable.
That’s where Jedi January ⭐ comes in, not as a gimmick, but as a gentle structure: a daily practice of returning to centre, choosing one small “training move”, and remembering that consistency isn’t perfection. Consistency is simply coming back.
Be the Light - reflections at Christmas
You are already light.
Not something you need to earn, prove, or perform.
In the midst of this season, with its tenderness, pressure, and very human moments, being the light often looks quieter than we expect. It’s choosing presence over pushing, softness over self-pressure, and compassion over perfection. When we tend to our heart’s light with love, even tiredness becomes sacred ground.
This is a reminder that your light does not dim when you slow down.
It deepens when you choose tenderness💛🐝
The reality of this season -A gentle Christmas message for the mums behind the magic
The Reality of This Season
Christmas is meant to feel magical… and yet, for so many mums, it becomes the most emotionally loaded time of the year. Behind the sparkle and expectations, there is often exhaustion, tender memories, unspoken grief, and the quiet pressure to hold it all together for everyone else.
At Bee’s Holistics, this season is honoured for what it truly is a time that stirs the heart, the body, and the nervous system. Here, you are given gentle permission to pause, to feel what you feel, and to receive care without judgement. Through heart-led practices like EFT, touch, stillness, and presence, support becomes not another thing to do, but a soft place to land.
Because you are not failing at Christmas.
Your feelings are not an inconvenience.
And you matter too.
💛🐝
Kindness with a backbone: Why “being nice” mustn’t hurt
Kindness is often painted as always saying yes, always being available, always putting everyone else first. But that version of kindness quietly teaches us to disappear. In this blog, I explore why genuine kindness is not about turning yourself into a cushion for other people’s comfort, or adorning yourself with the world’s expectations just to be seen as “nice”.
True kindness has a backbone. It includes your needs, your energy, and your boundaries. When we say yes while our whole body is saying no, kindness turns into people-pleasing and self-sabotage. Together, we’ll look at how to recognise the moment kindness becomes costly to your soul – and how to reclaim a softer, braver way of being kind that doesn’t require you to abandon yourself.
